Fayetteville, AR- MFA Galleries presents Kat Wilson’s series “EMOJI Paintings.” Wilson first gained national recognition for her photographic series titled “Habitats” in 2005 and has continued to thrive as an artist using photography for the following series; Portrayals and Layers.
Kat Wilson has been painting under the pseudonym, Gar, Neon, and Charro Dorado for more than 20 years. Now would be a good time to check your walls for those insignias.
Wilson’s work like her photographic work attaches true visionary tale with meticulous skill and creates an unprecedented body of work. Wilson’s ability to connect the viewer with the information being presented in an unobstructed nonbiased way leaves us with a sense of “I LOVE THIS WORK,” a feeling hard to come by in an art world so heavily inundated with users and much less with creators.
When we requested a quote from Wilson from one of her peers we received this “Didn’t she take my picture once,” George Dombek. Kat Wilson’s work is as witty and high energy as she is.
