#SelfieThrone is my open-access spin on my Habitats series. It’s an interactive art project that blends photography, sculpture, and performance to explore the blurry line between self-empowerment and self-obsession in the age of social media. I build each throne using various materials like neon, projection mapping, and customized objects, then step away from my usual role as photographer and invite anyone passing by to create their own spectacle of beauty and grandeur with their phone. Playful and dynamic, #SelfieThrone is my way of redefining portraiture for Instagram culture, shifting the power from artist to participant and celebrating that messy dance between ego and self-love.
